Coast
to provide a finish for buidings with a sense of place and belonging in their landscape. The use of colour in the natural environment compliments Tŷ-Mawr's commitment to thoughtful design and our holistic approach to environmental conservation. It is fitting that paints which work with the environment, allow buildings to 'breathe', should find their provenance in bedrock, vegetation, earth and sea.
Carefully cover surfaces which are not to be treated - especially glass, ceramics, window sills, to protect them from splashes.
Gently clean surfaces that are to be painted. Remove cracked, loose old coatings. Check adhesion and firmness of remaining coats.
Use Beeck’s Fungicide (if needed to remove lichen).
Carry out any repairs using appropriate materials, allow to cure. Please see technical Data Sheet.
Where any sanding on the surface has occurred, apply Beeck’s Fixative diluted with 2 parts water, using a brush.
The paints are mixed to order, only use containers from the same production batch on single areas.
Mix up a primer coat with Beeck’s Renosil Coarse and 10% Fixative, by volume. Thinning with Beeck’s Fixative makes Beeck’s Renosil Coarse optimally coat-able.
Before use, stir BEECK Renosil Coarse thoroughly with a powered mixing paddle.
Apply first coat with Beeck’s Renosil Coarse and Beeck’s Fixative up to 10%.
Apply second coat in Beeck’s Renosil Fine, diluted with 5% water by volume.
Protect freshly coatings from the rain; hang up scaffolding sheeting in front of the surface worked on.
