to provide a finish for buildings with a sense of place and belonging in their landscape. The use of colour in the natural environment compliments Tŷ-Mawr's commitment to thoughtful design and our holistic approach to environmental conservation. Silicate Mineral Paint - this paint has been made from water glass for over 100 years. The popularity throughout Europe is based on its incredible durability as it bonds to the surface to which it is applied - becoming part of the fabric of the building. Just as importantly, it functions in the same way as the building i.e. it continues to let older buildings 'breathe'.
It is suitable for most backgrounds, a primer may be required – see below!
Ideal for old buildings (to maintain breathability) and sustainable new builds (minimal environmental impact).
