The drying time is much shorter than Raw Linseed Oil. It can be mixed with MTO or thinner. It is also used in the maintenance of paint brushes. In the Construction Industry - DBLO is used as a natural wood preservative and wood finish due to its increased durability, quality of finish and resistance to surface damage. It is used in the maintenance of wooden articles and tools, for interior and exterior use on bare woods (other than oak), as an additive to glazing putty, in concrete, in caulking compounds, earthen floors, adobe and sealants, as an alternative to solvent-based products designed for sealing, polishing, waxing, varnishing and finishing, in the manufacture of Linoleum, in corrosion protection, in pigment pastes, for removing stains, as a sealer for terracotta tiles and stone floors, in stone items, in chrome fittings, flywire screens, in brick work, and preserving galvanised roofs. Other Industrial Uses - DBLO is used in foundries. It is used in industrial lubricants, sealants and Printing ink resins, to maintain carvings, wooden boats, canoes, fishing rods and Gun Stocks, etcÖ, by the fire department to treat the wood handles of hand tools that have metal implements to prevent build-up of static electricity, for the protection and preservation of farming tools and equipment.
